Hot tapping is the mechanical method of cutting in a branch connection to an existing pipe or vessel without the need to drain or interrupt the operation of the existing pipe or vessel, thus giving the ability to make additional connections to existing pipework or vessel without shutdowns.

The ability to perform this procedure without the need to shut down operations is both time effective and can save thousands of dollars by avoiding costly downtime.

Nationwide Hot Tapping has been engaged to perform hot taps on chilled water, condenser water, hot water, steam and fire systems into stainless steel, carbon steel, copper and plastic piping systems.

Nationwide Hot Tapping is equipped to hot tap holes from 3 / 8 inch (10 mm) to 24 inch (600 mm) in diameter. Large hot taps i.e. above 24 inch (600 mm) are undertaken, however with lead time.

Nationwide Hot Tapping is able to undertake the whole process, i.e. supply all materials, weld branch / nozzle to primary pipe (by ticketed welders), bolt valve to flange and cut / tapping of the pipe or just undertake the cut / tapping of the pipe with preliminary works undertaken by others.

Please do not hesitate to contact Nationwide Hot Tapping by email or telephone (02) 9906 1844 should you have any queries.
